Commands

$ docker run -d -p 5432:5432 -e POSTGRES_PASSWORD=postgres --name postgres postgres:alpine

Start PostgreSQL server in a Docker container on port 5432

$ docker exec -it postgres psql -U postgres

Open interactive psql session in the running container

$ psql -U postgres -c '\l'

List all databases in PostgreSQL
